YWCA of Boston (third) is built.

Architect: George Meacham. The brick building is located at 40 Berkeley Street. In addition to accommodating 156 residents, the building includes the first YWCA gymnasium in the U.S. An addition by Howard Chandler is built in 1907. The organization moves to new building (fourth) on Clarendon Street in 1929.*
